As with all our care provision, our Young Physically Disabled and Learning Disability Services offer tailor-made care for individual needs, be they within residential care or at home.
We work alongside service users and their families to ensure a responsive and progressive care plan for those with learning or physical disabilities, and review each plan regularly to ensure we’re doing the very best we can.
Residential nursing services include:
- Medication administration and monitoring
- Bowel and bladder programmes
- Respiratory services including tracheostomy care and weaning
- Seizure management and diabetic care
- Post-orthopedic surgery care and wound care
- Dysphagia management (swallowing programmes) to advance diet
Alongside residential care, we also offer regular support to those who are well enough to remain at home. This means daily help with meal preparation, shopping, money management, rehabilitation, vocational training and community access. Whatever the individual needs, Galleon Care will provide warm and compassionate help to promote the independence of those with long-term physical and learning disabilities, be they at home or in residential care.
