“I’ve been in a Galleon Care Home for two years now. The staff are extremely helpful with small every day things such as dressing and bathing, which if I’m having a bad day I need assistance with.

I particularly enjoy the garden: sweeping, watering, weeding and general gardening, and I also like to go out for walks when I can. I still get to take part in activities I’ve always enjoyed such as dancing and playing the tambourine, and talking with staff gives me company, as does socialising in the lounge.

Staff help me whenever I need it, but I’m otherwise fairly independent, and they respect that.”
